Cyndi Lauper talks Gaga

Cyndi Lauper has opened up to American talkshow host Wendy Williams about her friendship with Lady Gaga.

The ’80s icon met the fame monster when they worked together on Viva Glam, a campaign for MAC Cosmetics’ Aids fund.

When asked to talk about Gaga, Cyndi said she was “very committed” to the MAC Aids fund and described her as “a sculptor… like a performance artist”.

As for her impact on the pop superstar’s look and sound, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun singer admitted that she might have helped pave the way for her along with other ’80s icons Madonna and Boy George.

Cyndi is heading to Australia in late March to kick off her Memphis Blues tour.
