Ellen addresses marriage rumours

THE internet rumours that Ellen DeGeneres and Aussie actor Portia de Rossi’s marriage is on the rocks are untrue, according to a speech by the famous daytime host.

US tabloid magazines recently published stories of the couple’s alleged rocky relationship fuelling rumours that they were set to split.

In an recent episode of DeGeneres’ talk show this week, the 55-year-old rectified the rumours in her opening monologue:

“It’s so ridiculous to me. There’s not one ounce of truth to any of it. I’m very happily married. In fact, the only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more. That is all. It really is true,” she said.

“And we argue if we’d let a kangaroo carry us around in its pouch for a year. I would. She wouldn’t. She’ll change her mind. Who wouldn’t want to be in the pouch of a kangaroo for a year? Hopping around. And she’s like ‘no’ but anyway.”

DeGeneres promised viewers that the relationship was not on the rocks and this was a terrible misconception made up by tabloid press to fill their weekly page content.
