Gaga’s new song and tour plans

Lady Gaga performed a new song from Born This Way called Americano at a concert in Mexico last night.

She delivered a stripped back rendition of the Latin flavoured jam but as usual the diva tackles some big issues in the lyrics.

Mother monster described the song to Gaga Daily as “a big mariachi techno-house record, where I am singing about immigration law and gay marriage and all sorts of things that have to do with disenfranchised communities in America.”

“It sounds like a pop record, but when I sing it, I see Edith Piaf in a spotlight with an old microphone.”

The techno-house component is missing from the song’s live debut but it’s good to hear that Gaga is continuing to fight for gay rights.

Chances are you’ll get to hear the song live in Australia by the end of the year.

According to her manager, Lady Gaga is planning to follow P!nk’s tour and spend a couple of months in Australia.

Troy Carter told the Music Network: “We were over there when P!nk was playing and it was a great lesson for us to learn.”

“When you invest in a country… a country will invest in you,” he continued.

“It wasn’t about P!nk going over there and piling everyone into a few stadiums for a few nights – she went over there and lived there and became part of the culture.”

Pop’s first lady drops her highly anticipated third album on May 23.

She is due to visit Australia in July to promote the album before returning for a tour at the end of the year.

  1. @ Tiff, dont you think its about time someone used their fame to start sticking up for minorities? She is helping push issues that are ignored, scoffed at and swept under the carpet. She is trying to change outdate laws and views and help people who dont have a voice or an audience. Egotistical? clearly you have not read interviews, seen the gagavision etc…if you had, you would know better than to make unfounded comments like this one.
GAGA- thank you for your voice, your art, you music and for trying to make the world a better place for some of the people i love most in my life! Lil Monsters unite!

  2. Is this egotistical tyrant still using the gays for record sales, or is she sick of that now and decided to move onto Mexicans?
