George signs on for HIV ball

George Michael will be the headline performer at the Keep A Child Alive Ball in London.

The June 15 event will be hosted by R&B superstar Alicia Keys and English producer Mark Ronson.

“I’ve been a fan of George Michael for as long I can remember,” Keys said in a statement. “He is a legend and an inspiration.

“His work raising awareness and funds for those suffering with the HIV virus has spanned three decades.

“I’m honoured that George has lent his voice to our KCA cause and I’m so excited that he’s singing for us at the Black Ball in London. It’s going to be an amazing night.”

Keep a Child Alive raises money for AIDS care, support and food for children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
