It’s a green light to hit on Arrow

In an interview with Chelsea Handler on hit tv chat show Chelsea Lately Stephen Amell, that hunk from the tv series arrow, but more famously remembered by the gay community for his role in Dante’s Cove. Has responded to the chat show hosts question:

‘I just want to clarify that you are straight and people should not hit on you if they’re men.’

”People can hit on me if they want to.’ Cue massive applause from the audience. For the record Amell is straight, happily married (to a woman) and still celebrating the birth of this three week old baby.

Amell was also asked about his roll in Dante’s Cove and his minor roll in Queer as folk playing a gay spin instructor, to which he replied:

‘I was the villain because I was the straight character (Dante’s Cove). I couldn’t do the show the second season and in the second season my character went from not gay to really, really, really gay.’

At the time he was also cast in Queer as Folk.

‘I was a spin instructor at the time – still straight,’ he said, feeling he should have an inside track. ‘It was my first acting job.’
