Hayes, SeanSean Hayes, the comedic actor who brought us the unforgettable ‘Just Jack McFarland’ in Will and Grace will be back on American TV screens (and hopefully Australian ones soon) in a new role, a character who has to learn how to parent his 14-year-old daughter who moves in to live with him.

The show is called Sean Saves the World, and like his Will and Grace alter ego, Hayes’ character in this show will be gay. The show’s creator Victor Fresco (My Name is Earl) believes shows like Will and Grace and Modern Family have helped open up network primetime television, normalising gay characters.

The series is set to premiere on October 3, 2013 in the USA.
