Openly gay former-American Idol contestant Adam Lambert debuted a new song from his upcoming album at a performance in Canada last week.

The singer was appearing at Quebec’s Le Festival Ste-Agathe en Feux Festival and sang Outlaws of Love after announcing he was going to treat the crowd to a taste of his new album, to the screams of his fans – or ‘Glamberts’.

Lambert said the track is inspired by personal experience and it seems to have a bit of a gay bent to it:

“All of the things I’ve been talking about over the past year, all of it boils down to acceptance and this is a song that I wrote about how it feels, that no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you’re just running from the law,” he explained.
