Liberace biopic comes to Sydney
In a surprise announcement, the Sydney Film Festival has added Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra to its yearly program following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, and directed by Traffic and Erin Brockovitch director Steven Soderbergh, Behind the Candelabra recounts the complex five-year relationship between the pianist and his young lover Scott Thorson.
The Sydney Film Festival is running from Wednesday, June 5 to Sunday, June 16.
