Maclean lands Gatsby role

Queer singer/songwriter and Triple J presenter Brendan Maclean has landed a juicy role in Baz Luhrmann’s new film adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

Currently filming at Sydney’s Fox Studios, Maclean joins the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Carrie Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Aussies Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Gemma Ward in the production.

He’ll play shallow freeloader Klipspringer – a character that lives at Gatsby’s mansion, taking advantage of his host’s money.

The Cold and Happy singer can also be seen at the Sydney Fringe this month in Baby With The Bathwater at the New Theatre in Newtown.
