Madonna to launch Lourdes?

According to reports in the not always entirely reliable English tabloids, Madonna has her heart set on launching her daughter’s pop career with a duet.

The pop legend apparently wants to re-record her 2009 song It’s So Cool with Lourdes.

We’re sure Madge can afford something new (and better) but it seems mother and daughter originally recorded the song together eight years ago and it has sentimental value.

“Madonna hopes Lourdes will step into her shoes and become one of the biggest female artists in the world,” a source is quoted as saying.

“She’s the perfect mentor for her daughter and is keen to assist her first steps into the industry,” the continued.

“Lourdes has a great voice and plenty of character – like her mum.”
