Maulik Pancholy, ’30 Rock’ star, comes out as gay

Hit TV show 30 Rock’s star Maulik Pancholy has publicly come out for the first time in an in depth interview with Out magazine.

Talking with Out Pancholy stated: “I just celebrated my nine-year anniversary with my partner,It feels like a nice time to be celebrating something like that, especially on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions.”

Pancholy who recently left 30 Rock as Jonathan, the overprotective assistant to Jack Donaghy is said to be moving onto a new animated series for Nickelodeon.

This adds Pancholy to the list of male celebs who have come out in 2013 including Wentworth Miller, Raven-Symone. Ben Whishaw and WWE wrestler Darren Young.
