Ricky Martin debuts on The Voice

Puerto Rican pop powerhouse Ricky Martin made his debut last night on Channel 9’s second season of the popular show, The Voice.
Martin, who came out in 2010 and has two sons with his partner Carlos Gonzales Abella, definitely made his mark on the show after replacing Aussie-raised country music singer Keith Urban.
The show’s first contestant, 16 year -old Kaity Dunstan from Melbourne, wowed all four judges before she sided with Martin.
“I was fascinated by the character in your voice, you have the world in your hands. You can do whatever you want, you just have to focus and surround yourself with the right group of people and it’s up to you. This is a beginning, I am so happy to be part of this moment where a star is born,” he told her before Dunstan joined Team Ricky.
Martin also scooped up Simon Meli who had also drew the interest of all four judges.
At the end of the first blind auditions, Martin had filled two positions as did Delta Goodrem while Seal and Joel Madden scored just one singer each.
Whats up OZ? Ready for tonight’s premier of @thevoiceau ? Amazingly talented artists! Don’t miss it. #Australia
