Rihanna defends Britney’s vocals

Rihanna has responded to the critics who say Britney Spears ruined the remix of her controversy-plagued number one hit S&M.

In a phone interview with New York’s 92.3 NOW FM, the announcer Lil Cee suggested that Brit’s “nasally” vocals “sound bad on the record”.

But the 2011 Mardi Gras party no-show jumped to her duet partner’s defence, calling their hook-up “dynamic”.

S&M is a really high song to sing, in a really high register,” she reasoned. “I think she did it incredible”.

Anyway, Brit and Riri can console themselves with the song’s recent #1 position on US iTunes – not bad for something that sounds like it was thrown together in 10 minutes.
