Short film speaks the Language of Love

LanguageA short Australian film about a teenaged boy’s coming out to his best friend has gone viral online and drawn praise from gay figures worldwide.

Starring 17-year old Sydney native Kim Ho, The Language of Love follows the lead character’s struggle to reconcile his feelings for his best friend with the pressures of being gay in high school.

The film, produced by the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), has been viewed more than 75,000 times since first appearing online two weeks ago.

It has drawn praise from iconic British actor and comedian Stephen Fry, who described it on Twitter as “amazing”, and has also been featured on the cover of US gay magazine The Advocate.
