WATCH: New video from Brendan Maclean
Singer/songwriter Brendan Maclean has offered up his latest single OnlyOnly with a slick new video clip filmed at Sydney’s Hibernian House, complete with hot backing band.
Two days after the new single was released in March, it was put on high rotation at Sydney’s FBi radio, Melbourne’s Joy 969 and spot play on triple j.
Recorded in a basement in Erskineville, OnlyOnly sees a different sound from the YouTube star and prolific tweeter, with comparisons to Patrick Wolf and Eugene McGuinness.
This is the first release since Brendan’s 2010 folk EP White Canvas, which garnered attention for its quirky video clips that snatched top spots in the Rage Top 50.
OnlyOnly is now available on triple j Unearthed, Bandcamp and iTunes.
Maclean will appear as Ewing Klipspringer in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby later in the year.
