What is Brit’s best lead single?

With the buzz around Britney’s new single Hold It Against Me reaching fever pitch, we thought it would be fun to compare it with the lead singles from the diva’s past six albums.

…Baby One More Time launched Brit to superstardom as a 16-year-old way back in 1998 and the release of every new album since then has been an event.

The pop star dished up more bubblegum pop to launch her similarly titled second album Oops!…I Did It Again but went with the sultry urban club banger I’m A Slave 4 U (below) to kick off Britney.

And who will ever forget the lead single from In The Zone, her much hyped and ultimately much maligned duet with Madonna Me Against The Music?

She bounced back with the extremely catchy Gimme More in 2007 and launched her big comeback the following year with Womanizer.

That leads us to Hold It Against Me, which fittingly enough was produced by Max Martin – the man behind …Baby One More Time.

It seems Britney and her music has come full circle.

So which of these seminal pop hits stands out as your favourite?
