Dancing art
Sutra, a new work by Belgian choreographer and dancer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and monks from the Shaolin Temple, will hit the Sydney Opera House next month as part of the annual Spring Dance festival.
Performed by 17 monks, it is a fascinating exploration of the philosophy and faith behind the Shaolin tradition incorporating Buddhism and its relationship with the more forceful kung fu.
