Dolly’s 9-5

Dolly’s 9-5

Hi everyone,

It seems to me the older I get the quicker the days seem to go by. Just yesterday I was saying it feels like tomorrow and the next thing you know, it is. Before you know it it’ll be bloody Christmas – sorry Jesus/God/Julian Assange, no disrespect. If you are thinking of buying me a little something this festive season, don’t. Buy me that big something. I like to unwrap a large package.

Mind you, it’s time I found myself a husband who can shower me with gifts and treat me like I’m supposed to be treated. Any takers? Or givers for that matter.

Honey

Imperial Hotel – Sydney

Saturday, November 17

Honey is back at the Imperial and this time it’s sweeter than ever as US DJ Francisco Guerra headlines. Francisco has played at nearly every furry party you could imagine, including Bearracuda and Chunky – not to mention the Sydney Mardi Gras. He’s joined on the decks by Honey’s Mark Alsop and Colin Gaff, and look out for an amazing laser and visual experience from Man Lie and Kenneth Cockwhore.

It’s a night dedicated to all those hairy, beary, furry men and their admirers. So get along to Honey and enjoy a bit of stubble trouble.

Midsumma Festival program launch

Melbourne

Thursday, November 22

Midsumma have a swanky program launch planned for next week – yes, it’s that time of year already – with quite a few surprises on the night. While the official launch is invite only – and is hosted by my old showbusiness pal, Mr Luke Gallagher and I – be sure to look out for all the event details from that date.

The festival kicks off mid-January and will pay tribute to past years and also shine a light on some exciting new shows and talent.

Returning to a venue near you are two of my favourite boys of comedy, Nath Valvo and Joel Creasey. You can check out the Anthony Menchetti LOL comedy nights featuring all the best comics at The Order of Melbourne and I’ll also be launching my brand new solo show, so stay tuned for details.

The Midsumma Festival guide is available first, with the Star Observer.

Queen of the Nightclubs

Fluffy – Brisbane

Sunday, November 25

Fluffy is putting on a fabulous charity night to help raise money and to highlight World AIDS Day. It’s called Queens of the Nightclubs and you can do your bit by getting along and enjoying some fantastic entertainment.

The night will be a celebration of all the queer talent in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, so expect to be shocked and rocked to your core. Music will be facilitated by Harry K and Karma, and I’m thrilled to say all the proceeds from the door are going to a World AIDS Day charity. Good on you, Fluffy.
