Folky females offer fresh tunes
Melbourne lesbian folk band Emma Wall & the Urban Folk are launching their much anticipated new album, Shiny New Toy, in November. It continues the band’s record for sweet, simple tunes set against an acoustic, or at times electric guitar, backdrop. The girls made the top three live shows of 2010, according to Rhythms Magazine. The launch is held at the Workers Club, Brunswick on Sunday, November 11 from 2.30pm.
