Frontrunners join the fun
The Frontrunners have a big month ahead, with training kicking up a notch for two of the year’s major fun runs.
On Sunday, May 9, the gay and lesbian running group will participate in the Mothers’ Day Classic fun run around the Domain. There’s no limit this year, so there’s still time to enter. You can choose from a 4km or 8km walk or run.
A week later, on Sunday, May 16, more serious runners can join the Frontrunners in the SMH half-marathon, a taxing 21.1km course around the city and harbour. Entries to the half-marathon are now closed, but if you’re looking for a lengthy weekend run to put you through your paces, you can always join the Frontrunners on one of their regular Saturday morning 12km runs from the city to Bronte.
