Gay couple finally goes to prom together – eight years after graduation
PEOPLE are swooning all over the interwebs and it’s all thanks to a gay ‘promposal’ on YouTube.
The Carnegie Science Centre in Pittsburgh was the romantic backdrop for an adult prom that was a long time coming for YouTubers Zach and Evan.
You don’t have to be a local to recognise that prom is an important part of the American high school experience.
Evan begins the video by describing the importance of this upcoming event on his social calendar.
“It’s kind of a chance for you to get to do prom all over again, say if your first time wasn’t so great.” Evan ponders.
The two got a chance to do the whole prom thing but it just wasn’t together.
“We both kind of went with friends, you know. Did the whole deal: limos, tux, all of that. But, I mean, we kind of want to go with someone that you love,” Evan continues.
That’s when Evan’s intentions become clear: he was going to ask Zach to the prom.
The rest of the video chronicles the prep work and implementation of Evan’s super romantic plan.
Naturally, Zach says yes. We then get to see them dress up and have the experience they always dreamed of. If this was Twitter, it would be entirely appropriate to use to the hashtag #relationshipgoals!
