US READY FOR GAY PRESIDENT

Former US President Jimmy Carter believes America is ready for an openly gay president.

In an online video, Carter said, “I think the entire population of America has come tremendous strides forward in dealing with the issue of gays.”

“Step by step we have realised that this issue of homosexuality has the same adverse and progressive elements as when we dealt with the race issue fifty years ago or forty years ago. I would say the country is getting acclimated to a president who might be female, who might obviously now be black and who might be, as well a gay person.”

He did not expect to see it happen at the next election, but “in the near future”

Carter left the Southern Baptist Church into in 2000 over its conservative stance on homosexuality and women.

MORE HELP NEEDED FOR GLBT TAIWANESE STUDENTS

Taiwan’s GLBT community has called for more to be done to support GLBT’s in the country’s schools after two lesbian school girls killed themselves in a suicide pact.

A coalition of Taiwanese GLBT groups rallied outside local government offices in the city of Pingtung on December 13 to demand action.

Taiwan passed a Gender Equality Education Act in 2004 requiring that schools provide an environment where gender and sexuality issues could be discussed, but protesters said resources to support GLBT students had not materialised in the meantime.

In March Taiwan’s Ministry of Education announced that mentions of gay and lesbian issues would be included in textbooks for the first time from 2011.

MALAYSIANS SAY IT GETS BETTER

A group of high profile Malaysians have joined the “It Gets Better” project aimed at giving GLBT young people hope for the future.

Peter Ong, an opera singer and coach of the Malaysian national Ballroom Dancing team, and writer Azwan Ismail have become the first Malaysians to post videos, while Malaysian GLBT rights group Seksualiti Merdeka has announced that another thirteen will take part.

Homosexual acts remains illegal in Malaysia, with punishments of up to twenty years in prison. Additional penalties apply for Muslims who can face charges in both secular and Islamic courts.

  1. Carter is a good man, regardless of his relatively unsuccessful presidency.

In particular note how he left the southern baptist / evangelicals. For you Aussies, in case you didn’t realize it, this is the church that was the prime supporter of slavery in the USA, and after the civil war gave us the Ku Klux Klan hate group and segregation for another 100 years.

And now is rabid with hatred over the election of our first black president, who by his very poise alone makes a amockery of the fire breathing dragons who minister in that church.

And don’t forget the catholic monstrosity, dedicated to hating gay people as well. The same church that hid the endless molestation of children all over the world.

The same church that has yet to excommunciate the worst murderer in history, a man born and baptised catholic in 1888 in very catholic Austria.

Why – because it was the church that created the hatred of Jesus owwn people, the Jews, because they wouldn’t convert. And hitler leveraged that hatred to become Fuhrer, and 55 million died.

And in 2009, to show you the truth about the pope who grew up in nazi Germany, he UNexcommunciated a Bishop Williamson, who is a holocaust denier.

Remember the old story “give me a child by the age of 7 and I’ll make him a christian for life”?

A child at age 7 doesn’t have tthe knowledge or guts to say Bullshit to people :”in Authority”.

The nazis made the young RATZInger into one of their own. Shown to be absolutely true with the Bishop williamson scene.

And When Argentina discovered Williamson was living there, they threw him out of the country.

According to my friends down there setting in motion the move to make gay marriage official in Argentina.
