Hockey players think pink

The Bentstix Hockey Club members had their sticks swinging at the annual Pink Hockey Championships at the weekend.
Held at the St George Hockey Centre, three teams battled it out in the seven-a-side competition with Team Clunas, captained by Bentix club president Nathan Clunas, taking out the top spot.

In the meantime, the Bentstix will host Have A Go At Hockey Day at the Kyeemagh Hockey Field on Sunday, March 21.

“It’s a good opportunity for prospective new players to come meet current players, get a feel for the game and have a casual hit with a little coaching support,” Bentstix Hockey Club secretary Charles Lowe told Sydney Star Observer.

“For current players keen to participate in the main winter competition, it’s also a training session.”

info: Have A Go At Hockey Day will be held at the Kyeemagh Hockey Field on Sunday, March 21, between 3pm-5pm. For more information, visit www.bentstix.com.au or call 0425 222 278.
