UN release commemorative postage stamps celebrating LGBT community

A SET of postal stamps celebrating the LGBT community has just been released by the UN Postal Administration (UNPA).

The six commemorative stamps, unveiled at the UN headquarters in New York, promote UN Free & Equal  and mark the first time that UNPA has issued stamps with an LGBT theme.

An initiative of the UN Human Rights Office, Free & Equal is a global public campaign committed to raising awareness of homophobic and transphobic violence and discrimination.

The six stamp designs on offer include a celebration of rainbow families, gay and lesbians, trans people and the process of coming out.

Stamps can be purchased via UNPA’s website. Click here for details.
