What is a luxury resort nowadays without its own soundtrack? Bali’s Ku De Ta hotel launched its own line of smooth mix CDs four years ago, and this latest 2CD collection, mixed by the resort’s resident DJ Donni 1, is a suitably glamorous mix. Not everything works – Purple Avenue’s cover of Estelle and Kanye West’s American Boy feels perfunctory – but there are enough classy cuts across these two discs to keep dance fans happy.
