Liza Minnelli – Confessions

Anyone who caught her 2009 Australian tour will know that, at 64 and with a health history that means she’s lucky to be alive, let alone working, Liza Minnelli is still a wonderful performer.

And while the inevitable faults in her time-weathered voice are more apparent on CD, this is still a gorgeous collection. It’s classy jazz throughout, with a smoky late-night feel that perfectly plays to her voice.
