Have your say at village groups

The City of Sydney is inviting residents to have their say about their local area by answering a questionnaire and attending a community workshop in one of 10 specially designated ‘village groups’.

This is part of the city’s ongoing focus on a sustainable city for 2030.

Sustainable Sydney 2030 is the City of Sydney’s program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the way the city functions.

The city has identified the village groups, many of which share a main street, to help provide services and fairly allocate funding. The divisions include Oxford St, encompassing East Sydney, Darlinghurst, Paddington and Centennial Park, and Macleay St and Woollomooloo, covering an area from Rushcutters Bay through Kings Cross and Potts Point.

Community workshops for these two village groups and eight more — including Glebe, Redfern, Newtown and Sydney CBD — will be held in the coming months, starting on Thursday, February 23.
