Love Bytes kickstarting for funds

WITH close to one million views on YouTube, the creators behind the two pilot web series Love Bytes have turned to online fundraising website Kickstarter, along with community support, to complete their first series.

Love Bytes centres on the dating lives of three housemates in their search for love in Sydney. Along the way, they find humiliation and misadventure.

The series is based on the real-life experiences of a friend of co-creator Tonnette Stanford who “went on 40 dates in 12 months and still ended up single.”

Stanford also said finding the stories of the year-long experience was “so outrageous, so bizarre yet so relatable that we felt compelled to make a web series out of them.”

The first two pilot series are online and able to view, along with links to help fund it. The show’s creators have a target to raise $12,000 for the next two episodes and a stretch goal of $18,000 for an additional bonus episode.
