Midsumma names media partner

Sydney Star Observer’s sister publication in Melbourne, bnews, has been named media partner for that city’s annual Midsumma Festival in 2009.
It is the second consecutive year the paper has been named media sponsor for the event which attracts about 100,000 people.
Midsumma general manager Adam Lowe said he was excited to be extending the alliance into 2009.
Our partnerships have been collaborative and creative at every turn, he said. They [bnews] have been of great assistance with the publication of the festival guide and it’s a wonderful thing for us to maintain such a strong relationship into 2009.
bnews publication manager Megan Johnson said that the newspaper was delighted to again be playing an integral role in supporting the festival.
This sponsorship agreement marks our continual support for one of Australia’s largest gay and lesbian celebrations. We are excited to be involved as principle media sponsor and we look forward to working with Midsumma towards a fabulous 21st birthday, she said.
Midsumma will celebrate its 21st birthday in 2009 under the banner Queer Coming Of Age.
