MISSED out on the chance to attend the 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne recently? Fear not, for filmmaker Sasha Hadden has put together some videos which capture the highlights of the event.

Commonly known as AIDS 2014, the conference saw over 12,000 delegates from around the world converge at the Melbourne Convention Centre for between July 20-25.

The event serves a purpose for scientists, social workers, activists, researchers, politicians and people living with and/or affected by HIV and AIDS to share ideas, the latest in the battle to eradicate AIDS and to shed light on issues of discrimination and stigma through talks, panel discussions, debates, and stalls in the Global Village.

It is believed to be the largest conference of its kind to have ever been held in Australia, and one of the largest the country has seen in general. It’s also the first time Australia has hosted an International AIDS Conference.

The conference occurs every two years, with the next one due to take place in Durban, South Africa.

The videos below were filmed, edited and produced by Sasha Hadden, and the copyright and ownership of these videos belong to Hadden Motion Pictures/Hadden Media Group.
