2 up at The Columbian

2 up at The Columbian

In keeping with Anzac Day tradition the Colombian Hotel is holding games of two-up from midday on Sunday in the cocktail lounge. Two-up was a popular pastime for Aussie diggers during WW1 and WW2 and is an institution in pubs across the country every Anzac Day. The game involves flipping two or three coins into the air on a piece of wood called a kip (come in spinner is called when it’s time for the coins to be tossed). The object of the game is to spin a pair of heads and the spinner must throw heads three times in a row before they can collect the winnings. Go along for some good old-fashioned fun.
