30 years of acceptance

30 years of acceptance

Sydney’s gay and lesbian Catholic organisation Acceptance Sydney has organised a celebration for its 30 years of caring, support and faith. Members have met at St Canice’s Church, Elizabeth Bay, for Friday night Mass for many years, and hundreds of Catholic gay and lesbian people have taken part in the service and the after-Mass social scene. To mark the occasion, current Acceptance members have organised a special Mass for past and present members, friends and families. The Mass will be held on Friday 11 October from 8pm at St Canice’s Church. Members will back up their Friday night with a gala dinner in the cabaret room at Caesar’s, Parramatta Rd, Camperdown. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information on Acceptance or the group’s 30th anniversary celebrations, telephone Paul on 9808 1110 or visit the website on www.gaycatholic.com.au. The organisers also want readers to spread the word to everyone who has been involved in the group during the past three decades.
