A Moment On The Lips

A Moment On The Lips

The latest Tamarama Rock Surfers’ production has created quite a buzz recently, enough to prompt a shameless email of support by the singer and novelist Phil Scott. Scott wrote that the play was terrific, funny, observant and completely lacking in that self-indulgent worthiness you see in fringe theatre. The author of A Moment On The Lips is gay writer Jonathan Gavin, who wrote the play at the request of seven actors who wanted to work on a show with strong roles for women. The manless comedy includes Kirrily White and Susan Godfrey and has two lesbian characters. A Moment On The Lips is running at the Old Fitzroy Theatre until 8 February. Bookings are available on 9294 4296. Tickets are $24 for show only, and $30 for the beer/laksa/show special. Concession tickets are $18.
