Boys of Asia
Plans are already advanced for the Asian Marching Boys’ float in next year’s Mardi Gras Parade. The 2003 parade will be the fifth time the Asian Marching Boys have appeared, and organisers are hoping to recruit 100 marchers (their previous record was 65 marchers, set two years ago). A party for the group and their friends, to be held tonight at the Midnight Shift from 8pm, will raise funds for the float, and will feature the talents of 20 volunteer performers. Tickets at the door are $10, but numbers are limited.
