Celluloid tackles stigma
Entrants in this year’s inaugural Live & Love Short Film Competition will not only have a chance to win a massive cash prize, they’ll also help to de-stigmatise the herpes simplex virus (HSV), infections commonly associated with cold sores and genital herpes.
For the past month, budding filmmakers nationwide have been challenging myths and community perceptions of HSV infections through the creation of 30-second films.
The Australian Herpes Management Forum (AHMF) is now encouraging the general public to view and vote for their favourite short films by Monday, October 11.
All voters who complete a simple survey on the site will go into the weekly draw to win a double movie pass or tickets to the exclusive Live & Love Short Film Competition Awards.
