EQUALITY CAMPAIGN

The Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby will hold an information night for gay and lesbian parents on the campaign for recognition of same-sex families. Advice will be offered on how to meet with MPs or journalists. SCOG AGM

The Southern Cross Outdoor Group will be holding its annual general meeting in the hall of the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service in Newtown on Sunday 15 July. For details call John on 9907 9144.

GET EDUCATED

Acon’s gay men’s education unit is now accepting enrolments for the next 20 Something Up workshop for gay and bisexual men, aged mid-20s to mid-40s. Starting 17 July for six consecutive Tuesday nights, the free workshop offers a chance to learn about developing social networks. To enrol call Rob on 9206 2106.

FIRST AID

Sydney Leather Pride is holding a first aid course on Saturday 14 July at a cost of $125. The fully certified course takes a day to complete and there is pre-course reading before attending. Details: Felix on 0411 471 373 or email [email protected].

ANKALI TRAINING

The Ankali Project is recruiting friendly, understanding, accepting volunteers to provide emotional and social support to people living with HIV/AIDS, their carers, partners and families.
