Date set for annual Food and Wine Fair

The annual AIDS Trust Food and Wine Fair will be held on Saturday, October 31.

Don’t let the unusual October date fool you, gourmet food lovers and supporters of the AIDS Trust can expect nothing less than the usual high quality affair.

The fair has always been held in the first week of November, but this year it’s the 31st of October, so it hasn’t really moved, it’s always the last event of Good Food Month, the AIDS Trust’s CEO Elizabeth Lennep said.

All the chefs and restaurants are on, so people can expect a similar event to last year.

The numbers were a little bit down last year because of the rain, but that was okay too because the food lasted a little bit longer. But of course, we would really encourage everyone in the community to come and take part, and really hope it’s successful.

All the restaurants donate 100 percent of their product, which is a massive commitment from them means all the money raised goes back to the AIDS Trust.
