Drag diva sits for the Archibald

Local artist Yves Hernot, who arrived in Darlinghurst from France in the early 1970s, is to enter a portrait of fellow French Sydney resident Clair de Lune in the upcoming Archibald Prize.

“I wanted to do a portrait of a person who really captures the flamboyance and spirit that makes Sydney one of the great gay capitals of the world, and Clair de Lune stood out for me,” Hernot said.

  1. Yves Hernot’s Archibald entry of Clair de Lune is very bald and vibrant. It is time a gay subject is selected for the Archibald exhibition.
Please congratulate Yves Hernot for his painting.
