Online lobby group GetUp! have released a new version of From Little Things Big Things Grow sampling Kevin Rudd’s apology to the stolen generation and Paul Keating’s 1992 Redfern address to raise money for its Reconciliation Fund.

Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, Urthboy, John Butler and Kev Carmody contributed to the musical collaboration.

GetUp! commissioned the project to harness the goodwill generated since the official apology earlier this year and build the reconciliation momentum.

Last year, GetUp! supported the push for same-sex equality by commissioning a Galaxy poll to show community support. More than 70 percent of the 1100 people survey across Australia supported same-sex de facto equality, and a majority further supported same-sex marriage.

The digital-only song can be purchased on the iTunes Music Store or from GetUp!’s website.
