Carmen Morrison is in a league of her own. This Gay Games saw her take out seven medals -“ four of them gold -“ in track and field events as diverse as the sprint, relay, shot put, discus and javelin. She is also one of the few competitors who have competed in every Gay Games.

I’ve been to every single Gay Games since 1982, so this is my 20th anniversary, a proud Morrison told the Star as she rallied with her team mates for the closing ceremony.

Back in San Francisco, Morrison is a product development manager for Gay.com. She’s already planning to continue her Gay Games tradition with a return in 2006.

If my legs hold up and my life is still together, I will be in Montr?, definitely.
