Two Sydney guys are offering their home, their friendship and a weekend of Mardi Gras fun to whoever comes up with the most money on eBay.

The Best Aussie Mardi Gras Adventure Weekend includes luxury accommodation on Sydney’s north shore with a private office, a 24-hour chauffeur and chef, sight-seeing, a petting zoo and a sumptuous seafood extravaganza at an Aussie friend’s house.

We would like to give you a unique weekend Friday to Monday with all the tourist things and the gay side of Sydney, excellent food, and dining out, all culminating in the world-famous parade and party, the auction reads.

We can organise everything before the weekend including flights and costume (if desired).

The Ebay auction page features a picture of the men’s North Shore home’s personal sauna and steam room. The auction ends on Friday 24 February and by Wednesday morning, it had attracted just one bid -“ for $9.99.

One of the guys, Bradley, told the Star the idea of auctioning off a weekend of fun and friendship came from the heart.

We always like to show people around when they come to Sydney, he said. The big city can be daunting, and it’s good to know people to go out with.

Bradley said he hadn’t heard of the four guys who caused a media sensation recently when they auctioned their friendship for a weekend and attracted fake bids of more than $10 million.

In the end, that auction was declared null and void when the four men could not find a sincere bidder to take them up on their offer of some beers, some snags, some good conversation and a hell of a lot of laughs.

Bradley said he hoped the winning bidder would be up for a real gay Sydney experience, whether that was checking out the gay scene, visiting Sydney’s famous sights, going in the parade or just hanging around at home.

We’re expecting some people from out of town to go for it, he said. We just love living in Sydney, and we’re out every weekend anyway. I really can’t wait to show people around.
