Sydney Spokes will be holding one of its regular training rides this Saturday for avid cyclists who are looking to extend their long distance ability.

Held on the second Saturday every month, the training rides are designed for more experienced riders and riders who are comfortable with the road. This month’s trip will go from Hornsby station to Mount White, making it a 70km round trip which takes in large hills both ways.

As usual this is a ride for those with a road bike who want to do a much longer and faster ride than the usual Sunday outings, ride organiser George Porter said.

You need to be fit enough to ride the distance and you also need to be experienced on the main roads.

The group will start off at 8.30am from Hornsby and aims to be back by midday making this a much faster and challenging ride than the usual outings so all of those who are looking for a challenge are encouraged to come along.

To join the ride either turn up at Hornsby station at 8.30am or contact George at georgeinsydney@gmail.com. For more information on Sydney Spokes head to www.sydneyspokes.com.
