Transport NSW is urging punters and participants alike to leave the car at home during the Gay Games.

To make it a bit easier for seasoned locals as well as confused visitors, the organisation has released a pocket Gay Games guide with information on getting to major sports and party venues.

It will also include maps of the Sydney CBD, Fox Studios and Sydney Olympic Park for those who don’t know their marathon route from their Olympic swimming pool.

Transport NSW has also announced two special Games travel passes -“ one valid from Friday 25 October to Friday 1 November and the other from Saturday 2 November to Saturday 9 November.

The travel passes are combined train, bus and ferry tickets offering unlimited rides.

The guide and travel passes will be available from the Lower Town Hall Accreditation Centre from Monday 28 October, The Hub information and entertainment area in Hyde Park North from Wednesday 30 October and Fox Studios Hub and Sydney Olympic Park Hub from Sunday 3 November.
