Harbour City Bears in mourning
The Harbour City Bears will hold a memorial service for vice president John Richardson at the Metropolitan Community Church on Monday.
Richardson died suddenly last Tuesday, leaving behind his loving partner Peter. Peter and John were the first Australian couple to legally marry in Canada.
“The committee of Harbour City Bears remembers our friend John for his energy and enthusiasm as vice president,” Harbour City Bears president Jonny Bastin said.
“His dedication to ensure our Bear Essentials festival was a fantastic event for our members and guests, plus his desire to improve the well being of our community as shown by his passion for fundraising for Inspire.”
The service will be held at MCC, Crystal St, Petersham at 3pm on Monday, March 22, followed by drinks at Saddle Bar, above the Midnight Shift, at 5pm.
A request has been made that, instead of flowers donations be made in John’s name to Inspire, the Harbour City Bears’ charity of choice this year – http://www.inspire.org.au/donate.php
