Head to EuroPride with the Star and BA

Sydney Star Observer has joined forces with British Airways, the official EuroPride 2006 airline, to share a chance to head to Europe’s biggest gay party.

Last year’s London Pride celebrations attracted 250,000 people. This year, the city is hosting EuroPride and is planning its biggest gay and lesbian event ever.

Hosted by a different European city each year, EuroPride returns to London in 2006 for the first time since 1992.

Highlights of the two-week festival include EuroPride Day on Saturday 1 July, which is estimated to attract 1 million people. Other highlights will be a Soho street party, a conference and a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Patrons of the event include Ian McKellan and Elton John.

The lucky winner of the British Airways and Sydney Star Observer EuroPride competition will pick up two World Traveller tickets flying out of Sydney on 27 June and five nights’ accommodation in central London over the final EuroPride weekend.

Competition entries must be submitted by 21 June 2006. The draw will be conducted on 22 June and the winner will be notified by email.

British Airways is also offering 10 per cent discounts on tickets for EuroPride travellers who buy online.

To go in the running or pick up the password for discounted flights, log on to the competition website.
