HIV/AIDS mural unveiled

A mural aimed at fighting discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS was unveiled this week at 362-364 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst. The World AIDS Commemorative Mural was launched by South Sydney mayor Councillor Tony Pooley and St Vincent’s Hospital’s Dr Alex Wodak. The mural was created with the involvement of community members living with HIV/AIDS and their supporters, and painted by artist Steven Vella. A collage of portraits and HIV medications, the mural was funded by South Sydney Council and St Vincent’s Hospital.
