Hunter happenings

For those of us locally or in Sydney and elsewhere looking for something different, there are plenty of events north along the Pacific Highway in the next few weeks.

First stop is the NSW Central Coast where preparations are well under way for Coastal Connections” Grande Finale GLBT Ball being held Saturday 27 September. Bookings are now being accepted. Contact Lesley 0414 410 759 or email [email protected].

Next stop is the beautiful Hunter. The hilarious duo, Mitzi Macintosh and Naomi, will trek north from the Sly Fox for their quarterly BINGAY roadshow on Wednesday 25 June. GLOMESH Choir and Tappers is a newly formed group for gays, lesbians and others to mesh together in a singing and dancing extravaganza. Their first meeting is Friday 11 July from 6pm. For more info contact Lee 0410 336 487 or email [email protected].

Karumah Positive Living Centre is holding a 70s Disco spectacular at the Gallipoli Legion Club in Hamilton on Saturday 26 July. Raid the op shops for that wonderful garb and for more details, visit www.karumah.com.au.

NEON transgender social and support group is now running fortnightly on the second and last Wednesday of every month. Contact ACON Hunter/MNC and leave details for Mitch, Kim or Cath to get back to you.

Final stop is the NSW Mid North Coast. Coastal Lynx and Coastal Castaways community groups are joining forces to hold a combined dance on Saturday 19 July from 7pm till 1am in Wauchope.
