It’s time to go, Kate

A new contender has emerged for the highly-challenged title most offensive housemate in this year’s Big Brother.

Monday night’s Big Brother Uncut featured a kiss between two male housemates, Tim and Greg (pictured). Both have claimed heterosexuality previously -“ the kiss was part of a game of Truth or Dare.

Their housemate Kate’s reaction has drawn criticism from the gay and lesbian community, as well as fans of the show.

While the other housemates screamed with laughter, Kate became angry and disgusted.

I’ll vomit, she said. That was disgusting. I’m homophobic. I’m homophobic. That really freaking scared the shit out of me.

She added that the boys should have put their hands up and not actually kissed.

Tim, a Newtown boy with a confessed crush on Kate, as well as pronounced left-lean, tried to help her out of the hole she’d just dug, calling her stupid to label herself like that.

Someone as enlightened as you should not have those views. It is so stupid for you to say that. I don’t know why you would label yourself like that.

I don’t think it’s something to joke about, he said.

Kate’s reaction? I hate it and I fear it. I felt sick when you did that, seriously, my stomach felt sick. The fact that you didn’t put your hand up there and pretend to do it made me feel sick.

It emerged that Kate had a boyfriend when she was 16 who didn’t make a move on her and eventually came out as gay, several years after they had broken up.

Ever since then I’ve obviously felt that every guy I’ve been with is going to leave me for another guy.

Kate -“ who has kissed girls while in the house without suffering any sudden illnesses -“ also lists her Bundy Rum bar fridge as one of her most prized possessions and Margaret Thatcher as a heroine. It’s definitely time for her to go.
