SSO: What is Louie?

Ben Heath: She’s a fox terrier-chihuahua cross, or a foxie wawa. I prefer not to say chihuahua, it’s not very butch. She’s a girl and an aggressive lesbian interspecies top -“ she loves humping my cat who’s also a girl.

She humps her cat sister?

Yes, that’s Merry. I got her at Christmas, hence the name. As I said, Louie loves humping her and Merry seems to take it well.

Where does Louie come from?

I got her from the RSPCA at Yagoona. I was actually going to get a cat but came home with Louie. It was the best decision I’ve ever made -“ she knows I saved her and that’s why she’s so fantastic.

What’s the best thing about her?

She’s extremely friendly and obedient, great company and amazingly intelligent. Just like me really!

And the best thing about being a pet owner?

Company and unconditional love and responsibility (in a good way). She’s also a good marketing tool -“ I take her to work with me and to meet clients and she’s the page two girl in The Pink Directory. Clients ask if they can meet her all the time.

Any wisdom for would-be queer pet parents?

I’ve yet to meet a man who wets the floor with excitement when I come home or poos on the bed when I don’t.
