Photographer Evan Cooper is looking for couples for a photo project, The Commitment Project.

It’ll be a photographic exhibition of queer, gay and lesbian couples who have been in a committed relationship for 8.8 years or longer.

Why such a specific length, you ask? 8.8 years is the median length of an Australian marriage, hence if queer couples can beat this statistic, we are entitled to the same legal rights and respect as heterosexual ones.

Couples interested can organise a suitable time for Cooper to photograph them. Afterwards, Cooper will send you a disc of images and you’ll be able to choose your favourite to be used.

There will be no commercial gain from the project, and you can have your portrait removed at any time if you change your mind.

info: Email evan.r.cooper@gmail.com with The Commitment Project in the subject line.
